Easy breezy ear and neck warmer for those cold winter days. Baby, it's cold outside!!!

I've been upto a few crochet projects but have never tried my hands at knitting. It was one fine day when I was visiting my mom and she had some leftover yarn and knitting needles that she wasn't using, so I picked it up and was contemplating on what to make. So, like every beginner I started out with the garter stitch! A garter stitch is basically a knit stitch repeated over and over again. I didn't have a lot of yarn and so I settled on making a ear and neck warmer which are both essentially the same things.

Step 1 : Start with a slip knot

Step 2 : Cast on stitches (measuring 3-4 inches)

Step 3 : Knit stitch every row until you get the desired length

Step 4 : Join both ends

You can create a neck warmer the same way, just increase the number of cast on stitches (increasing width)

The best part is that you can customise the width and length according your wish and let your creativity ebb and flow!!!

If you have a lot of yarn, you could keep knitting until you have yourself a beautiful scarf.
