The perfect solution for a fabric bleed

Does your heart bleed when your quilt bleeds? Don't be disheartened cuz I've got the perfect solution that works like magic!!!

I had spent hours making this herringbone quilt and finally it was time to wash it and press it. I filled up my bucket with water, soaked the quilt and placed it on the clothes line to dry. It was dark and it was night but the it all seemed wonderful and perfect and so finally headed off to get some much needed sleep.

The disaster!

The next morning, I jumped out of bed with full enthusiasm to head over and look at my quilt. To my utter disbelief, my quilt fabric had bled and all my white parts of the quilt was not red in color.

MY HEART SANK!!!

But, I just couldn't give up on my hardwork, I had to do something and I was going to make it alright. I found this article on google which said

ADD DISHWASHING SOAP TO A BUCKET OF HOT WATER AND SOAK THE QUILT FOR 12 HOURS

I immediately filled up hot water and added a lot of dishwashing soap and let the quilt sit. I went in to peep every 30 minutes to see if it worked. And, to my surprise it was working. I had to refill the hot water and add in more dishwashing soap after a few hours.

IT HELPED TO ADD EXTRA SOAP ON THE AREAS WHERE THERE WAS A LOT OF BLEEDING

Finally, after 12 hours I set it out to dry on the clothes line. This time again there was some more bleeding. So I had to repeat the whole exercise again another time the next day.

Et voila!!!

It worked like magic and I had a quilt that looked perfect and absolutely white and wonderful!!!

So, if your fabric or quilt bleeds, DO NOT PANIC, just get out some dishwashing soap and you'll be good to go. Try this out and let me know if it works :p
